I started to work heavily with pro sound gear while playing keyboards in a dance band in Barrow Alaska, in 1983. Okay, ya' gotta get a map and check this out.

I had a great time with the equipment and work. I seemed to find myself at home behind a mixing console and in front of (and behind) speaker systems. I worked in live music clubs (Jazz and Rock) consistently, 3 - 4 nights a week from 1987 through 1988. In 1989 I worked 5 to 7 nights a week, managing sound & stage in two different night clubs, neither of which exist today... My how things change. I had also designed and installed new sound and lighting systems in both clubs.
The St. James Club in Scotts Valley, CA. and OT's in Soquel, CA.

Summer of 1990 I joined the crew of the Santa Cruz Seaside Co. as Audio Specialist. The performance audio skills that I've developed are put to the test each summer as the Productions Manager and 1st Engineer for the Friday Night Concert Series on the beach for the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

I also use the same system for major concerts in the Cocoanut Grove Ballroom, which is also owned and operated by the Santa Cruz Seaside Co.
